Itinerary

This morning at 9.30 am we meet at our starting point at Bells Creek to meet the rest of the crew and your team. After a team briefing, we are on our way to commence our walk at 10am.

We take in the beautiful southern beaches of the Sunshine Coast including Kings and Moffatt and walking along the beaches and pathways up past Kawana to Point Cartwright and along the Mooloolah River. At La Balsa we stop for a picnic lunch before taking a short boat ride across the river to Mooloolaba.

After a relaxing break we transport around to Mooloolaba Spit to walk towards Cotton Tree. This afternoon we will walk past Mooloolaba, Alexander Headlands and Maroochydore Surf Clubs and walk towards Marcoola, Yaroomba and Coolum.

At Coolum we stop for dinner before continuing on to Peregian and my favourite part of the trail the far end of the coast to Sunshine Beach before we walk into the Noosa National Park and around the amazing headlands.

We will pass Alexandria Bay, Little Creek, Hells Gate and Dolphin Bay on this section of the walk before finishing at the main Noosa Beach for sunrise where you can enjoy a relaxing swim and a celebratory breakfast.

Our vehicle will be there to meet us and take us back to the drop off point at Bells Creek.

Note; This is a challenging walk for very, fit and robust individuals that want to test their mental and physical capabilities.

These big walks are all about being prepared for all sorts of conditions. In the past when we have done these walks it’s mainly been foot soreness and blisters and fatigue that have caused the issues.

So, make sure you have paw paw cream or some Vaseline to lightly coat your feet this helps to prevent friction. If you notice you are getting a hot spot on your feet stop and treat it.

Muscle soreness can also be a problem so make sure you have plenty of anti-inflammatory and Panadol.

It is also important to make sure you keep your body fuelled up during these walks with some snacks and nutrition including Trek Fuel for the walk. We won’t stop for lunch until after 3.30pm.

All Trekkers are to meet at Bells Creek at 9.30am for a 10am sharp start. Please make your own way to this meeting point. You will be dropped back to this same pick up point on Sunday morning after breakfast.

You will need to bring your own day packs containing at least 2 litres of water, snacks and a small first aid kit including Vaseline and/or paw paw ointment, anti-inflammatory tablets and Panadol.

It is recommended that you eat a substantial breakfast as we won’t be stopping for our first real meal until around 4pm.

You will arrive at Point Cartwright around 3.15pm and will be transported to Mooloolaba where you will be able to have this first meal break,

Departing Mooloolaba at 4.45pm and arriving at Coolum Mc Donald’s for dinner at around 11pm.  We will then aim to finish in Noosa around 5.30am for sunrise and a swim.  We will celebrate the completion of this fantastic trek with a delicious breakfast in Noosa.  We will then transport you back to Bells Creek.

Greg Chamberlain will be your guide and we will have a support vehicle during the walk for any unforeseen circumstances.
